Sony Ericsson - W580i

Sony Ericsson - W580i

4th August 2007 - This is a new phone I got from work. I finally gathered up the courage to get my current phone, which is now my old one, updated. And this is what I got. To be honest, I'm stoked!

I've seen this phone in action before. Just to give you the skinny on it. It's one of the new ones from Sony Ericsson in the Walkman range, called the W580i. It's a thin slider mobile phone, coming just in under 14mm thin.

It boasts the Walkman 2.0 program as the music manager. The good thing about this, which my previous phone didn't have, is that it supports Album covers, just like your modern generation Ipod's. Sure the album art is so small it's negligible, but to someone like me, it makes it all worth while. What's even better, when your scrolling through your albums, you can see the album cover, which from what my brother tells me, you can't do that on a Ipod.

The light feature on this phone can be either viewed cool, or tacky; just depending on how you find lights accompanying your ringtone add anything to the experience. Though I must admit, when in the dark, the illumination of the lights is quite sexy.

But if you bring it back to all bare minimums, this is just like any other SE Walkman phone. Though, the quirky cool difference with this phone is that it sports a motion sensor, for your fitness reports, such as heart rate, and pedometer. But more importantly, you can shuffle to a random song on your Walkman phone, just with a shake. Funky aye?
